Scrappies uses the information you provide to handle scrap-car enquiries and quotes.

Information collected

This can include your name, phone number, registration, make/model, vehicle weight, collection postcode, vehicle details, quoted price and enquiry date/time.

How we use it

We use this information to calculate and manage quotes, contact you about collection and respond to your enquiry.

Vehicle lookups

Registration numbers may be sent through our server to a vehicle-data provider so we can retrieve vehicle information needed for the quote. API credentials remain on our server.

If you choose WhatsApp, the information you send is also subject to WhatsApp/Meta's own privacy terms.

30-day retention

Pending or unaccepted quote data is automatically cleared after 30 days. Accepted quotes are marked as accepted and are not removed by this pending-quote cleanup.

Your rights

Depending on applicable UK data-protection law, you may have rights concerning access, correction and deletion of your personal information. Contact Scrappies on 07737 772582.
